Craig Peters has been nominated to the Judicial Council by the State Bar Board of Trustees. He will be sworn in and begins his three year term this September 2024. The Judicial Council serves as the policymaking body for California’s courts, the largest court system in the U.S. Under the leadership of Chief Justice and in accordance with California Constitution, the council ensures justice is responsible for ensuring the consistent, independent, impartial, and accessible administration of justice. The Judicial Council is comprised of bench officers from the California Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Superior Courts, one representative each from the California Senate and Assembly, and four attorneys.
